How to Install a Bathroom Vanity
For detailed steps, check our Vanity Installation Guide.
Are the Vanities Assembled?
Yes! All cabinets come fully assembled. The countertop is packed separately for easier handling, and the sink is pre-attached.
How do I know what size vanity I need?
We have a Vanity Size Guide to help you determine what the best vanity size is for your space
Can I Buy Just the Cabinet?
Yes, you can buy the cabinet without the countertop. Look for the "No Counter" option to lower the price. If this option isn’t available online contact us for pricing.
Can I Use My Own Faucet?
Yes, you can use your own faucet. We recommend not using one with a pull up drain as it could hit the backsplash. If you want a 3-hole faucet you will need to have additional holes drilled. This can be done by a counter company in your area and will be at your own cost and risk. Larger pictures of the faucets are available.
Can you make me a custom cabinet?
No, we do not make custom cabinets. The styles we carry are the ones shown on the online store.
Where Are the Vanities Made?
Our vanities are imported from China and Vietnam.
Are the Faucets and Sinks Approved for Use in Canada?
Yes, all faucets, showerheads, drains, and plumbing fixtures are cUPC approved for Canada.
Do the drawers use Dove-Tail construction?
Most of our vanities use box (butt-joint) drawer construction, secured with screws and glue rather than interlocking joints. This method has proven very reliable—across thousands of cabinets sold since 2008, we haven’t had drawers come apart.
What Brand Is the Faucet?
The faucets included with our vanities are manufactured by CAE, a trusted OEM faucet manufacturer that produces plumbing fixtures for several global brands. We have been using their proprietary faucet line for over 15 years, and they have consistently delivered excellent quality, and reliability.
The CAE faucets we carry are all cUPC certified for use in Canada and feature durable brass construction.
modernbathrooms.ca carries a selection of CAE bathroom faucets and fixtures as part of our vanity packages.
Which is better a Floating or a Freestanding vanity?
Check out our Floating vs freestanding bathroom vanity guide to see the pros and cons of each option
What Are the Vanities Made Of?
Our vanities are made with plywood using either Indonesian Rubber Wood or Thai Oak. We avoid MDF or particle board as moisture in a bathroom can cause swelling, warping and loss of structural strength. The wood is 1.5 cm or .6 inches thick.
Some of the vanities use a wood veneer while others use paint for the finish. We also carry some vanities with melamine, which is a synthetic coating over a plywood cabinet.
Is the bathroom vanity countertop attached to the cabinet?
No. Our bathroom vanities are delivered with the countertop separate from the fully assembled cabinet. This makes the vanity easier to carry, move through doorways, navigate stairs, and position in your bathroom without the added weight of the countertop.
During installation, the countertop is secured to the cabinet. This two-piece design makes handling and installation easier, especially for larger vanities.
For step-by-step instructions on attaching the countertop, visit our Bathroom Vanity Installation Guide.
How Do I Clean a Quartz Countertop?
- Use a soft cloth or sponge with warm water and mild soap.
- Eco-friendly Tip: Try Mint All Purpose Cleaner—it's Canadian and smells great too!
- For tough messes, use a non-abrasive sponge and cleaner.
- Avoid harsh chemicals, bleach, or abrasive cleaners as they can damage the surface.
- For stains, mix equal parts water and isopropyl alcohol or use a cleaner designed for quartz.
- Always rinse and dry to keep your countertop shiny.
Do you have Larger Pictures of the Quartz Counters?
We have a quite a few options for our quartz counters and it can be hard to decide which is best for your design. We have a page with larger pictures of the quartz counters that may help. But, not all quartz counters are available for all vanities. The vanity page will list which counters are currently in stock for the vanity you order.
What Is the Warranty?
- 3-year warranty covers vanities, sinks, mirrors, towel bars, and other bathroom products.
- If there’s a defect under normal use and proper installation, we’ll send you replacement parts free of charge. Keep your proof of purchase.
- The warranty doesn’t cover damage from installation errors, misuse, or cleaners with abrasives or alcohol.
- Labour costs for installation, repair, or replacement aren’t included.
Do you have a showroom where we can view the products?
We have a showroom at 1300 Ketch Court, Coquitlam, BC. Customers in the Metro Vancouver area or beyond can visit the showroom to see the product quality, colours, counter options and faucet. An appointment is not required to visit.

This is the second vanity we have purchased from Modern Bathrooms. They are good quality, beautiful and great value! I highly recommend them. We have not installed this one yet but I have included a picture of the first vanity we bought which is the 48” model. Also the shipping was fast and flawless, very professional.

I was looking for a basic vanity, I was absolutely delighted with the product - it was way better (looks/quality/value) than I expected!
A
Product pricing and quality was better than anything in our small community. i was very pleased. I also lucked into a convenient delivery date, had my vanity in less than a week. There was one small factory defect that partner managed to fix - company was also on the phone quickly. Only wish, and not about quality… would like smaller basin and more room for the side ledges. Ours is for a powder room (18.5” depth) and doesn’t require more than a cursory hand wash.

This product is very nice to look at and well-made. It came with the sink top, mirror and the faucet (which I got to choose). A really good deal and I’m very pleased that I bought it.

I have no complaints about this vanity whatsoever. The price for everything included can’t be beat and it’s super high quality! Soft close doors and wood cabinets? Unheard of at this price point. Install was straightforward and it looks great!

I have bought 4 of these vanities. 2 larger ones with 2 piece sink and quartz top and 2 smaller ones with sink molded into vanity top. I had a problem sealing the drains on the 2 small ones with sink molded into top. I used the same faucet on all 4 vanities however the 2 small vanity faucets were supplied with different seals than the 2 larger vanities. Had to use some silicon sealant to get them to seal around the threads of the drain tube. I also wish they had continued to supply the vanities with the chrome feet on the legs, however they still look great without them. I would have rated them 5 star except for the leaking drain issue. The finish is very good and the doors and drawer hardware are very good quality.

The 30" vanity is very well made and was well packaged when it arrived. The colour is espresso, a very dark brown (almost black) which has a rich tone. We changed the faucet, hardware and vanity top. Very good product and excellent service.

We were very happy with the vanities we got. We ordered 2 and they arrived only a few days after placing the order. Easy to install and I was impressed with how sturdy they are. This isn't a flimsy box store vanity.
